Did you know that the Villeroy, a private residence dating from the 18th century, today houses two museums including the Lyon Museum of Decorative Art? This isFrance's second most important decorative art museum after the museum in Paris and one of the leading establishments inEuropefor the quality of its collections!

Its founders decided to focus on creating the right interior atmosphere, even if this meant leaving out certain masterpieces.

The museum is today proud to unveil some of its hidden treasures, including 130 previously unseen or little-known works from the worlds of Eastern and Western art. These include donations from great names such as Tsar Alexander II or from local patrons, ceramics, gold and silverware, reliquaries, sculptures by Rodin, precious and unusual items, enamels, bronzes, polychrome carved wooden and ivory items from Europe, all waiting to reveal their secrets during this themed visit.

As a bonus, a catalogue is being produced for the first time with a selection of 450 works.

Time to go M.A.D.!

Admission to the Museum and the exhibition is free with the Lyon City Card
