When a woman's history combines with that of a  museum

The actress Jacqueline Delubac, who was referred to in the 1920s as the "most elegant woman in Paris" wasn't just a pretty face…

She was also an informed art collector and talent spotter.
She bought the works of emerging artists to decorate the town house she shared with Sacha Guitry for 4 years, as this 3rd wife.

As the vanguard figure of the cream of Parisian society, she finally put an end to her career as an actress to devote herself entirely to her art collection.

Originally from Lyon, she naturally chose to leave 35 paintings and pastels by such artists as Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas, Bonnard, Vuillard, Léger, Braque, Picasso, Miró and Bacon to the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon, as well as bronze statues by Rodin and other 19th century paintings, making the Musée des Beaux-Arts the owner of the largest collection of Impressionist works outside Paris.

In parallel to this exhibition, there will be late-night fashion shows, dance and theatre events, as well as guided tours in English.
